  • Ingredients:

    • 60 ml of Reverse Whisky
    • 1 sugar cube
    • 2 drops of Angostura bitters
    • Ice
    • Orange peel (to decorate)

    Preparation:

    1. Start with the sugar and bitters : Place a sugar cube in a glass Old Fashioned . Add the 2 drops of Angostura bitters to the sugar cube. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to crush the sugar and mix it with the bitters, until the sugar is almost completely dissolved. This step is key to getting the flavors to blend well.

    2. Add the whiskey : Pour 60 ml of Whisky Reves in the glass. This whisky, with its robust character and smoky notes, is the soul of this cocktail and blends perfectly with the sweetness of the sugar and the intensity of the bitterness.

    3. Add ice : Fill the glass with ice, preferably large cubes, which melt more slowly and keep the drink cold without diluting it quickly.

    4. Mix well : Stir gently with a bar spoon for about 20-30 seconds so that all the ingredients merge evenly.

    5. Garnish : Using a fruit peeler or knife, cut a thin strip of orange peel (avoiding the white part). Squeeze the peel over the glass to release its essential oils, then place it inside the glass as a garnish.
