Pink Citrus Fizz

Pink Citrus Fizz

A citrusy and sparkling cocktail that combines the freshness of grapefruit and lemon with the botanical notes of Prima Rosa Gin. Perfect for refreshing a sunny afternoon or for toasting on any special occasion, this drink captivates with both its flavour and its elegant presentation.

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml of Prima Rosa Gin: the ideal base that provides a floral and botanical balance to the cocktail, enhancing the citrus flavors.
  • 20 ml fresh grapefruit juice: With its acidic and slightly bitter taste, it adds a refreshing and vibrant touch that defines the character of the drink.
  • 10 ml fresh lemon juice: intensifies the citrus profile with its bright acidity, providing a clean and energizing note.
  • Lemon soda: the bubbly touch that lightens and balances the flavors, while adding an irresistible effervescent element.
  • Grapefruit slice: a visual detail that highlights the pink color of the cocktail and adds a fresh aroma when drinking.
  • Sprig of rosemary: an aromatic decoration that contrasts with the citrus fruits, providing a subtle herbal nuance.

Step by Step Preparation:

  1. Prepare your glass:
Choose a tall, stylish glass (Collins style) that allows you to appreciate the bubbles of the soda and the play of colors between the liquid and the decoration. Fill the glass to the top with ice cubes to keep the drink really cold.

  2. Add the citrus ingredients:

    • Pour 50 ml of Prima Rosa Gin directly on the ice.
    • Duck 20 ml fresh grapefruit juice to introduce its characteristic freshness and delicate pink colour.
    • Incorpora 10 ml fresh lemon juice to complement the citrus profile with its more intense acidity.
  3. Top with lemon soda:

    • Slowly pour the lemon soda over the ingredients to keep them fizzy.
    • Fill the glass almost to the brim, allowing the bubbles to rise and gently mix the flavors.
  4. Decorate with style:

    • Place a slice of fresh grapefruit inside the glass or on the rim to provide an attractive visual touch and enhance the aroma.
    • Add a sprig of fresh rosemary as decoration. Before placing it, gently rub the branch between your hands to release its essential oils, intensifying its fragrance.

Mixologist Tips:

  • If you prefer a sweeter profile, add a teaspoon of simple syrup or use lemon soda with a touch of sweetness.
  • For a more aromatic finish, you can lightly flame the rosemary before placing it in the glass. This will give a subtle smoky touch that will contrast with the citrus.
  • For an even more sophisticated presentation, use a wide glass and garnish with a twist of lemon peel along with rosemary.
